We understand that addiction rarely happens in isolation—and treatment shouldn’t either. That’s why we’re one of the few medical detox centers in Arizona that allows cell phone use during care. Staying connected to family, work, and personal support systems helps patients stay grounded during treatment. It also gives our team valuable insight into real-world stressors, allowing us to guide patients toward healthier coping strategies beyond substance use.
Each patient stays in a semi-private room featuring no more than two beds, a private bathroom, and DirecTV for added comfort. This setup offers both privacy and support, helping patients manage the physical and emotional challenges of withdrawal under the care of our experienced medical team. For those who need to continue working, select rooms are equipped with workstations.
We also understand that withdrawal can disrupt normal eating patterns or create cravings at any time of day. To ensure patients are well-nourished, we provide 24/7 access to an on-site café stocked with meals, snacks, and beverages. Access to familiar and preferred food options helps ease the detox process and provides an added layer of comfort during recovery.
Scottsdale Detox offers a range of evidence-based addiction treatments, carefully developed by our board-certified medical team to help clients begin their path to sobriety.
Recognizing that you’re not alone in your struggle with addiction is a powerful step toward lasting recovery. At Scottsdale Detox, we offer optional group therapy sessions where patients can explore the underlying causes of their addiction and gain insight into how it affects both themselves and those around them.
During intake, our board-certified medical team performs a comprehensive physical and mental evaluation. This helps us proactively manage withdrawal symptoms and identify any co-occurring mental health disorders.
The primary goal of medical detox is to safely and comfortably eliminate substances from the body, creating a stable foundation for sobriety. Substances like alcohol and opioids can trigger dangerous withdrawal symptoms that require professional medical oversight. Even less severe symptoms can be effectively managed with the right care, allowing patients to remain focused on their long-term recovery journey.
Medical detox is designed to safely and comfortably clear substances from the body, laying the groundwork for lasting sobriety. Drugs like alcohol and opioids can lead to serious, potentially life-threatening withdrawal symptoms that require medical supervision. Even milder symptoms can be managed effectively with professional care, helping individuals stay focused on their recovery goals.
At intake, every patient is paired with a dedicated case manager who creates a personalized treatment plan for long-term recovery. This often includes a seamless transition into inpatient rehab or outpatient therapy following detox.
